Israel Center for Excellence through Education
Educating for Excellence Enhancement

Every single one of the Center for Excellence’s activities is focused on creating a national atmosphere of excellence in all endeavors. The Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA) and Mitchell Excellence 2000 (E2K) are only the first steps in this amazing journey. The Center for Excellence continues its quest with a wide range of national programs branching from these two key projects.

Educating for Excellence Enhancement is designed to encourage and facilitate an atmosphere that nourishes striving for excellence among school children, educators and the public at large.

They reach out to a wide variety of audiences:

  • The Annual Carylon Conference brings together educators, members of academia, and world renowned specialists from Israel and abroad who share particular expertise in the field of education for highly able students.
  • Opportunity for Excellence serves children of Ethiopian immigrant families to increase their academic abilities and adjust to life in Israel
  • The Science Maze brings the wonder of 21st century science to entire communities as they proceed through the exciting Maze tunnels.
  • The Excellence Advisor Course trains outstanding teachers to become a vital resource to their schools by overseeing the needs of excelling students.
  • Virtual Learning utilizes electronic communication technology to link schools for unique learning experiences.  They also provide teachers with a direct connection to the pedagogical resources of the Israel Center.

Striving for excellence has become a key concept in education around the world.  The Center for Excellence is bringing this concept to fruition throughout Israel.
